What are Canadian Studies?
Canadian Studies consist of all disciplines that are usually grouped under Social Sciences and Humanities. The study of these disciplines creates a stronger cultural, social, and political understanding of Canada. Common examples of such fields include history, political science, aboriginal studies, women studies, education, economics, health, law, geography, business studies, multiculturalism, art, environmental studies, communication studies and, English and French literature.
How do I become a member of CPEC?
You must fill out a membership form and pay the membership fee. The fee for one year is 100,000 Guaranies for professionals and 60,000 Guaranies for students. You may submit your application form by email, fax or delivery. Payment must be made directly to CPEC which is located in Stael Ruffinelli de Ortiz English, Gral Santos 606, casi Juan de Salazar –Asunción, Paraguay.
Are there any requirements to become a member of CPEC?
Any interested individual may become part of the Centre, in fact we are extremely interested in obtaining members with vision, creativity and ideas to help expand the center into other social and academic groups within Paraguay.
How do I apply for scholarships?
Many of the scholarships are available through the International Council for Canadian Studies. By meeting with one of the executive members of the CPEC, you can discuss these scholarships and others offered by Canadian organizations.
